Hidroelektrik Santrali (HES) projelerinin ilk girdiği vadilerden biri olan Rize Çayeli Senoz Vadisi’nden gençler, vadilerindeki tahribatı kamuoyuna duyurmak için 2009 yılının kasım ayında Üsküdar’da bulunan Karadeniaz Elektrik A.Ş önünde eylem yapar. Eylemde Karadenizliler ve bir çok ekoloji grubu bulunmaktadır.

Eylemin değerlendirilmesinde Karadeniz‘de sürdürülen talan ve rant projelerine karşı ulaşılabilen her alanda özellikle büyük şehirlerde mücadelenin yükseltilmesi ve sesinin duyulur hale getirilmesi noktasında karar verildi. Bu amaçla 25 Aralık 2009 tarihinde yapılan anonim bir çağrıyla 1.Karadeniz Formu toplandı. Bu forumda büyük çoğunluğu Karadenizli olan insanlar, Karadeniz İsyandadır Platformu’nun kurulmasına karar verdiler.

Karadeniz İsyandadır Platformu, konuyla doğrudan ilgili ve duyarlı bireylerin bileşiminden oluşan bir platformdur. Kolektif şekilde karar alır. Çalışma şekli gönüllülerden oluşur.

Genel olarak Karadeniz’in özel bir eko-sistemler topluluğunu barındırdığının farkındalığıyla hareketle doğal yaşamın korunmasını sağlamak amacıyla tüm yıkıcı, yok edici, kirletici ekonomik ve kültürel faaliyetlere karşı çıkar. Tahribatların durdurulmasına yönelik çaba sarf eder.

Platform; iktidara karşı duruşunun referansı ne olursa olsun ekolojik yıkıma karşı verilen doğa ve yaşam mücadelesinde tarafını doğadan yana belirleyen tüm kesimlerin ortak hareketinin zorunlu bir ihtiyaç olduğunu düşünür ve buna göre hareket eder.

Eurogold Gold Mining Company was founded in 1989 by French and Canadian multinational mining companies (Gokvardar 1998:137), following the requirements of the Mining Law of 1985 in Turkey. A prospecting permit in an area close to three villages of Bergama was obtained, aiming to establish the first modern gold mine in the country. The Sinop (İnceburun) Nuclear Power Plant is a planned nuclear plant located at Sinop in northern Turkey. It will be the country’s second nuclear power plant after Akkuyu The deal for the project was signed between Turkish Prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe on May, 2013, in a similar manner with the Akkuyu project. The first nuclear power plant (NPP) of Turkey will be constructed in Akkuyu locality situated within Buyukeceli towns borders in Mersin Provinces Gulnar District. The license of the NPP was obtained 36 years ago. The construction work of the NPP has been commissioned to Rosatom, a Russian state-owned company, through a direct intergovernmental agreement and without a tender process. Residents of Artvin, a small town in the North-eastern Black Sea region in Turkey continue to resist the opening of a dangerous gold and copper mine in the Cerattepe area for more than 20 years. After years of resistance, several mining companies, and several court rulings against the project, the conflict is still on-going.The first attempts to mine the gold and copper in the area started in the beginning of 1980s.
